What is DRDO?
The Defence Research and Development Organisation, commonly known by its acronym DRDO, is India's premier agency responsible for the research, design and development of military technology for the country's armed forces. Organisational Structure
DRDO functions as part of the Department of Defence Research and Development, one of the five departments under the Ministry of Defence. Its administrative and scientific structure is layered as follows:

DRDO Major Programmes and Achievements
