Six Days of Heritage at the Red Fort
Bharat Parv 2026, the annual national cultural and tourism festival organised by the Ministry of Tourism, was held from January 26 to 31, 2026, at the lawns and Gyan Path facing the Red Fort, Delhi.
Held every year since 2016 as part of Republic Day celebrations, the festival showcased 41 Republic Day tableaux up close, allowing visitors to appreciate the craftsmanship and symbolism behind displays that had rolled down Kartavya Path on January 26.
Across multiple stages, 48 cultural performances brought folk and classical traditions from across the country to life, supporting the national initiatives "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" and "Dekho Apna Desh."
A Platform for Tourism and Livelihoods
Beyond cultural performances, Bharat Parv 2026 featured regional cuisine displays and sales, handicraft and handloom exhibitions, and stalls from central ministries, giving artisans and small vendors from across India a national platform to showcase their products to visitors and tourists in the capital.
The festival's closing ceremony on January 31, 2026, was presided over by the Vice President of India as Chief Guest, marking a fitting conclusion to a week that combined ceremonial tradition with grassroots cultural and economic promotion.
Free Park & Ride and Metro facilities were also arranged to ease public access to both the Republic Day parade and Bharat Parv venues, reflecting the scale of civic planning behind the event.
