Hi,
all seniors..
Well i feel here Q&A only for prelims…….
But i’m sure u all can help me out to get my answers…

Q: Please provide me with the minimal book-list for mains papers—
1: Pub-Administration
2: Sociology
3: GK
All for mains so that they are sufficient to cover all syllabus..
I have got book list on upsc site, but i’m afraid to buy them until i’m sure
for them..Actually i’m afraid that they might be more than requirement.

Hello sir,
I am a starter in ias preparation.
is english literature a very tough subject for IAS mains?
i am a commerce graduate, m.com & in final year of m.a. applied english.
i want to opt PUB AD and ENG LIT. in mains.
please guide me .

    Both the options are good one. There is nothing called as tough or easier one. There are three factors you should look into before choosing the option

    1) whether expert guidance available for that option?

    2) Easy availability of materials

    3) How far your option will help you in gs part or the other way round.

i am pursuing dual degree cours (b.tech and m.tech) with a duration of 5 years .
can i apply for civil services IAS examination in 5th year of my degree??
if yes then what are the requirements ??

I am now pursuing my Engineering studies, BE 3rd year Electronics and communications. My destination is to be an IAS.

I am planning to join IAS coaching centers of Delhi after my final year directly.

Or,, I had another option to get selected in TCS in our campus recruitments and then after two years of job, I have to join IAS institutes.

Which one do u suggest for me.??
