In order to expand the outreach of rehabilitation services for differently-abled persons, two new Composite Regional Centres (CRCs) have been setup at Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Kozhikode in Kerala. The new Composite Regional Centres have been established with a view to facilitating the creation of the required infrastructure and capacity building at Central, State and District levels and below for awareness generation, training of rehabilitation professionals, service delivery etc. There are six CRCs functioning at Sundernagar, Srinagar, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna and Bhopal.
